How does the Sax-Q sense a hammer impact?

By default, the SAX-Q senses a hammer impact by sound. There is a microphone mounted on top of the unit. The unit increments the blow number when the SPL exceeds the user’s defined threshold. Users can switch to manual blow monitoring when a sound threshold cannot be reliably maintained. In this case, users must touch the screen with every impact.
