What is a Refined Wave Equation (GRLWEAP) Analysis?
A refined GRLWEAP analysis draws on measurements obtained from performing a Pile Driving Analyzer® test and CAPWAP® analysis on a test pile. Those measurements include the stresses, energy, capacity, dampings, and quakes. The process consists of matching the known quantities. To do so, an engineer can adjust the hammer, cushion, and soil parameters on the wave equation program (GRLWEAP). Engineers can use the results to estimate blow counts and stresses for other hammer energies, required capacities, or cushion configurations.
