What are the advantages of using a Pile Installation Recorder (PIR) Magnetic Flow Meter to measure the amount of grout installed in an augered cast-in-place or continuous flight auger pile as opposed to counting pump strokes?

The Magnetic Flow Meter measures the volume of grout installed in a pile. It produces a direct measurement not based on a pump operation calculation. As a result, the Magnetic Flow Meter method does not require consistent grout pump operation for accurate results. Additionally, the Magnetic Flow Meter electronically records and saves all grout flow information including where it occurred in the pile. Engineers or technicians have the option to review the records later.
