Can spiral welded steel pipe piles be tested with the Pile Driving Analyzer®? If yes, should 2 or 4 strain transducers be used?

Often, spiral welded steel pipe walls do not lineup exactly. As a result, the wall may experience local bending despite how far from the top the gages were installed. Poor results will be obtained, unless 4 strain transducers are used.
