Does iCAP® replace the CASE Method?

iCAP® is a signal matching program. It only replaces the CASE Method to an extent. The iCAP program’s results do not depend on unknowns like the JC factor and are not available for every blow. Rather, results are contingent on the hammer’s blow rate. The CASE Method is used for blows not analyzed by iCAP. Nevertheless, the iCAP program will provide the JC factor that correlates to the results of the blows analyzed. This JC factor can be used to improve the reliability of the CASE Method for the other blows.

Additionally, the iCAP program determines the maximum compression and tension stresses along the pile length. This feature replaces the closed form Case Method solutions.
