What factor of safety is recommended for dynamic tests?

This is generally specified by code, standard or specification. Some codes require the same safety factor for a dynamic test as for a static test, as for example the International Building Code (which is the USA code for building). Other codes specify slightly higher factors for dynamic tests; for instance the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO) Standard Specification for Highway Bridges specifies the use of a safety factor about 10% higher than for static tests.
