Can Thermal Integrity Profiling (TIP™) be performed with water in the access tubes?

Only when using the thermal probe method for Thermal Integrity Profiling are access tubes necessary. The temperature sensors in the probes are infrared, and only work in air. As a result, the water must be removed from the access tubes. Nevertheless, the probes are completely waterproof to protect against inadvertent submersion.
