What is the best time for Thermal Integrity Profiling (TIP™)?

Preferably, engineers should take measurements near the time of peak temperature to assess the shaft’s overall shape. Moreover, defects are easier to detect when the concrete is halfway to the peak temperature. This is relatively early in the curing process.

Regardless, the optimum time is initially unknown. By recording the temperatures at frequent periodic intervals, engineers can search the data for the best possible evaluation. Thermal Wire® cables record the entire temperature versus time history. This makes performing the shape and defect evaluation possible and efficient.
