PDA-W with iCAP®
PDA-W processes field data, either in real time or after the conclusion of the Dynamic
Load Test. PDA-W results include soil resistance at the time of the test, energy
transferred to the foundation, foundation integrity and, compression stresses at
the top and bottom and tension stresses along the shaft. It calculates more than
150 parameters, compares them with target values and issues data quality alerts
during field tests.
iCAP calculates capacity at the time of testing and produces a simulated static
load test graph through a signal matching procedure performed during Pile Driving
Monitoring. Because it is based on CAPWAP® signal matching logic, it is a step beyond
capacity determined by the Case Method. (iCAP does not replace CAPWAP analysis -
a CAPWAP analysis, performed after the conclusion of the test, yields the ultimate
bearing capacity.)
PDIPLOT
It is often necessary to summarize large quantities of PDA-W calculated results.
ASTM D4945 also requires a statistical summary of PDA data. PDIPLOT allows the user
to organize test data in tables or graphs, plotting up to six variables versus blow
number, length or elevation and calculating their means and standard deviations.
If the selected plot is Energy versus Blow Number, the efficiency of drop or hydraulic
hammers (which varies from blow to blow) is calculated.
PDI-Curves
A useful reporting tool that allows users to present up to five graphs in a single
document. Graphs may be from the same PDA-W file (five blows of a dynamic load test
on a drilled shaft) or not (one blow from each of five distinct piles on the same
job site).
*SPT Analyzers include the PDA Software Suite minus iCAP.
