GRL Engineers, Inc. is a professional engineering firm that specializes in providing testing, analysis, and consulting services for the deep foundation industry world-wide. The firm was founded in 1975 by Professor G.G. Goble, F. Rausche and G. Likins following their pioneering research at Western Reserve University in the basic concept of dynamic pile testing which is now known as Case Method and the invention of the Pile Driving Analyzer® (PDA). Since its incorporation, GRL has continued to expand its capabilities in this field through in-house research efforts and several funded studies, most notably in the area of wave equation technology and hammer performance evaluation.
The innovative pile testing methods originally developed by the principals of the firm are now applied worldwide, resulting in improved foundation solutions, better quality control and often significant savings of foundation costs or construction time. GRL engineers perform dynamic pile monitoring (on or offshore), dynamic load testing, integrity assessment of driven piles and drilled shafts, driveability analysis, data review and training as well as research and development projects in the field of deep foundation testing systems.
GRL Engineers, Inc. maintains its corporate headquarters in Cleveland, OH with branch offices in Chicago, IL; Philadelphia, PA; Charlotte, NC; Orlando, FL; Denver, CO and Los Angeles, CA. GRL engineers travel frequently throughout the United States as well as overseas and to offshore locations around the world.
