PDA and CAPWAP® Workshops |

PDA and CAPWAP workshops are geared to users of Pile Driving Analyzers® and to those that
already have some background in dynamic testing. These events, which have varying topics, are a wonderful
opportunity for engineers involved with dynamic testing to exchange job stories, share experiences, ask
questions, learn about new developments and enhance their foundation testing skills.
(This workshop is occasionally offered by organizations other than PDI / GRL. CEU offerings may vary, please refer to each specific course announcement.)
Pile Dynamics, in cooperation with PDCA, may offer a
Dynamic Measurement and Analysis Proficiency Test
after this workshop. The workshop is a good preparation for the Proficiency Test and/or for the High Strain Dynamic Pile Testing Examination (HSDPT) offered by Foundation QA (FQA). Please contact Foundation QA for details about the FQA exam.

Wave Equation Workshops and Webinars
|

Wave Equation Workshops and Webinars introduce the engineer
to the GRLWEAP software for pile driving simulation and analysis. A portion of the
event is devoted to the theory of wave equation. At their conclusion,
participants should be able to gather the necessary information to prepare the input for a
realistic dynamic pile analysis, and should be familiar with the programs analysis and
output options (bearing graph, inspector's chart, driveability analysis). Examples
and case studies cover several types of piles (uniform, non-uniform, steel, concrete).
Workshops and/or Webinars are held several times a year.

Integrity Testing Workshops, Seminars and Webinars |

PDI gears these educational events to contractors, engineers, project
owners, project inspectors and specification writers with an interest in pulse
echo testing with the Pile Integrity Tester and cross hole sonic logging with
the Cross-Hole Analyzer. Attendees will become
familiar with the theories in which these methods are based and with their
practical applications. Topics include good
quality data acquisition skills and data interpretation.

geotechnical engineer, construction engineer, owner, contractor or any other professional
involved in the design, construction and specification of deep foundations. While emphasis
is placed on how to use proven and practice-oriented methods, the presentations also
include background material which proves valuable to teachers and researchers. The Seminar
content is also valuable to Civil Engineering students. |
